Vitality Areas and Trails: A different solution for outdoor sports

Vitality Areas and Trails provide a range of sports activities to help users to get in good physical shape.
The alternation between Trail and Area equipment items provides a wide variety of sports exercises and practice activities at the user's disposal.

The materials used for Vitality Areas and Trails, together with their design, enable them to integrate into wooded or urban environments alike.

The basic principle: providing compact, modular equipment that is well suited to the constraints of urban locations, and also to the possibilities afforded by large open or wooded areas. The traditional fitness modules have been fully redesigned to provide situations that are really ergonomic and pleasant to use.

An outdoor fitness image

There are 3 really innovative fitness elements:
Trainer: running exercise based on gym treadmills
Rowing machine: complete fitness workout, helps cardiovascular capabilities and tones up leg muscles
Relaxed exercise bike: bike used in a semi-reclining position with adjustable pedalling resistance

The organization of the Area around a smartly designed central platform makes the equipment accessible and attractive.

The design of the various elements that can be fitted onto the platform has to convey a theme of sports, so “gym” essentials have been incorporated in the design.

Specific materials and finishes are used to provide comfortable user contact surfaces.

Wood bars, ergonomic plastic-coated handgrips and tubes with rubber overmouldings add a warm touch and enhance user comfort.

There are several advantages in mixing different activities:

Friendly Atmosphere
- The equipment can be used by several people at the same time: the group situation can help hesitant people to get involved!

Compact equipment
- The equipment can be installed in relatively small areas.
This makes it easier to develop areas in urban surroundings (traditional fitness trails can only be laid out in large areas).

Sports themes
- The areas can be centred on themes depending on the type of equipment selected: stamina, endurance, strength, arm or leg exercises… there is something to please everyone.

A wide range of possible sites: in a park, by a lake, near a river, alongside collective housing, in a camp site or a leisure centre... walkers, sports enthusiasts, or local residents can spend a few minutes improving their physical shape.
